Armstrong and the No. 5 seed Iowa Hawkeyes.  After only leading by 4 at the half, Arizona blitzed the Hawkeyes in the 2nd half to cruise to a 20 point win. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"SBJStarBody\"\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eNorth Carolina was the only thing standing between Arizona and their first ever trip to the Final Four.  Elliott and Tolbert combined for 45 points to put the Tar Heels to bed, 70-52.  Next stop, Kansas City.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"SBJStarBody\"\u003eA disappointing loss to Oklahoma in the Final Four couldn't diminish the legacy of the '88 Arizona Wildcats.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e“We were a juggernaut, even if we didn’t know at the time. We had two McDonald’s All-Americans with Sean Elliott and Craig McMillan. Sean became college player of the year the following year and was the best player that year in my mind, and five players from that team went to the NBA. We were definitely a juggernaut, but it maybe wasn’t the blueprint you’d see from a Kentucky these days.
